We are
pleased to have Baylor SportsCare as our tournament athletic trainers. These
trainers will be at the Benbrook and Rolling Hills complexes to serve your
needs. The Rolling Hills trainer will serve the FWISD fields as well. They

pre-match taping and advice.

Swine Flu
Notice (as of 6:00 pm, 4/30/09)-
The FWYSA
Cowtown Classic Tournament is scheduled for May 8-10. FWYSA is closely
watching health advisories for outdoor game play recommendations,
including any direction from the North Texas State Soccer Association (NTSSA)
and other state health authorities.
Until
further notice on this site the
event WILL GO ON as planned.
Remember to
continue to exercise sensible but appropriately increased precautions to
limit unnecessary exposure during games. For example: don’t share
personal items like water bottles, use verbal congratulations instead of
high-five lines after games, spectators be courteous when coughing
amongst others, keep sick players and family members home, sanitize
hands after games and occasionally. Have fun, but use good common
sense!

U8s play at Benbrook.
U9s and U10s play at West Side. All U11s and up play at either
Rolling Hills (15 fields), Benbrook (5 fields), or West Park (4
fields).
We do not determine the matching of the older divisions to particular fields until we
know how many teams are in the respective divisions (shortly after the
deadline for applications some 10 or so days before the tournament).
Most of the fields are in the southwest portion of Ft. Worth (along the SW
Loop of I-20 and I-820). However, Rolling Hills does have many more
fields than West Park and Benbrook combined.
GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
-
Team check-in will
be at your fields before your first game. You must bring one copy of
your roster and any guest player forms. You will need to leave these
copies with the site coordinator. Select teams must have notarized
medical releases for all players (including guest players). These will
be checked. Recreational teams should bring the same medical releases
they use for their league play. Recreational team medical releases do
not have to be notarized.
-
During the tournament, official results are kept on the field. In
divisions with quarter-finals, semi-finals, and/or finals, each team should
be certain that a team representative is available at your field to confirm
if you are advancing. Scores recorded on the web site Saturday night
(often very late)
are unofficial. Please inform us if you notice a score incorrectly
typed on the web site.

The U9s and U10s will only
play at WestSide. The U8s will only play at Benbrook.
However, the U11s+ could play at either Rolling Hills, Benbrook, or West
Park.

On the schedules, the
following abbreviations apply: WS is WestSide; WP is West Park; BB

The receipt of applications for tournaments is a very
fluid and unpredictable process. The bulk of entries typically come
within the last days before the deadline. Thus, it is impossible for us to
even guess-timate the number and names of teams in a particular division
until the deadline for entries. We hope to be able to add teams through the
deadline, though you should submit your entry as soon as possible. We will
post a listing of teams as soon after the deadline as possible. The best
indication of the size of typical brackets is the list of teams from the
previous tournament, though these can vary greatly from year-to-year. You
can find several lists of teams and results from previous tournaments at our
archive web page or on our tournament page:
