TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

COWTOWN CLASSIC TOURNAMENT, May 9-11, 2008.  For Select and Recreational Teams.

SCHEDULE

GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

  • Team check-in will be at your fields before your first game.  You must bring one copy of your roster and any guest player forms.  You will need to leave these copies with the site coordinator.  Select teams must have notarized medical releases for all players (including guest players).  These will be checked.  Recreational teams should bring the same medical releases they use for their league play.  Recreational team medical releases do not have to be notarized.

  • During the tournament, official results are kept on the field.  In divisions with quarter-finals, semi-finals, and/or finals, each team should be certain that a team representative is available at your field to confirm if you are advancing.  Scores recorded on the web site Saturday night (often very late)  are unofficial.  Please inform us if you notice a score incorrectly typed on the web site.

  • Area Attractions

  • Area Hotels.  Note that you are welcome to use any hotel of your preference.  This list is provided only for your convenience.  These hotels are not required or even necessarily recommended.  Just informational.

Any referees interested in working any tournaments, please email Jorge Polanco at polanco03@sprintpcs.com or 817.846.3831.

The receipt of applications for tournaments is a very fluid and unpredictable process.  The bulk of entries typically come within the last days before the deadline.  Thus, it is impossible for us to even guess-timate the number and names of teams in a particular division until the deadline for entries.  We hope to be able to add teams through the deadline, though you should submit your entry as soon as possible.  We will post a listing of teams as soon after the deadline as possible.  The best indication of the size of typical brackets is the list of teams from the previous tournament, though these can vary greatly from year-to-year.  You can find several lists of teams and results from previous tournaments at our archive web page or on our tournament page:

Thanks.

We do not determine the matching of divisions to particular fields until we know how many teams are in the respective divisions (shortly after the deadline for applications some 10 or so days before the tournament).  Most of the fields are in the southwest portion of Ft. Worth (along the SW Loop of I20 and I820).
